Steven S. Jacobs

Steven S. Jacobs, 63, passed away January 19, 2024 in his West Lawn residence.

He was the beloved husband of Lori J. (Loeper) Jacobs, with whom he celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Diane M. (Rishell) Jacobs and the late Ronald W. Jacobs.

Steven was a graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed by Cambridge Lee as a tow motor and furnace operator for 12 years. He was also previously employed by Dana Corporation as a steel worker for 22 years and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local 6996.

Steven enjoyed fishing, camping, going on cruises and riding free on his Harley motorcycle. His true love was spending time with his grandchildren and family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his four children, Scott R. Jacobs, fiancé of Rebecca Dice, Robesonia ; Kelly A. Jacobs, fiancé of Brandon Hodges, Wyomissing; Alex S., husband of Alyssa Jacobs, Hamburg; Michael T. Jacobs, fiancé of Karena Cooley, Reading; He is also survived by his brother, Timothy Jacobs, and his seven grandchildren, Ryder, Lee, Raiya, Niko, Ian, Chase and Lexa.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611 with inurnment to follow at Laureldale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
