Steven Daniel Ernst

Steven Daniel Ernst, 42, of Reading, died December 25, 2011 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of Walter D. and Linda L. (Gilmore) Ernst, Reading.

He was a 1988 graduate of Wilson High School.

Steven worked for Raylon, Inc., Reading for over 11 years, retiring September 16, 2011. He considered his employer and co-workers to be his second family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two siblings: David A. Ernst, Robesonia and Valerie L., wife of Rick Strunk, Shillington. Also surviving are his nieces: Erica Ernst, Brielle Strunk and his nephew, Tyler Strunk.

Steven was suffering from a rare form of liver cancer. He chose to have his body donated in the hope to find a cure, however he was turned down due to his hepatitis.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday January 7, 2012 at 12 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Casual attire requested, wear your favorite sports team clothing.
