Steven D. Barrell

Steven Dale "Boo Boo" Barrell, 50, of Maxatawny Township was killed January 14, 2009 about 8:30 am when he was struck by a pickup truck while working along Fredericksville Road in Rockland Township.

Born July 25, 1958 in Reading, he was a son of the late Ralph E. Barrell Sr., and Arlene B.C. (Dundore) Barrell-Kocher.

He was employed by Clifford Hill Sanitation Service in Kutztown.

Steven is survived by seven siblings: Evelyn C. (Dundore), wife of Michael J. Chickey of Bethlehem; Ralph E. Barrell Jr., of Reading; Linda D. Barrell of Pottsville; Debbie R. (Barrell), wife of James A. Mason of Spring Township; Cindy D. Barrell of Reading; Doreen R. (Barrell), wife of Jose Figueroa of Reading and Robin K. (Barrell), wife of Angel Sanchez of Reading.

He is also survived by aunts, uncles, neices and nephews.

Steven was predeceased by two siblings: Marion S. Barrell and David N. Barrell and a niece; Larrié S. Thomas.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Scott Kramer officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Richmond Township.
