Stephen Matthew Lackmeyer

Stephen M. Lackmeyer, 69, of Exeter, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at his residence. He was the loving husband of Terry (Haupt), with whom he shared a marriage of 29 years.

He was born in Harrisburg to the late Dahlia (Callen) and Robert Lackmeyer (survived by wife, Jane Lackmeyer, FL). Steve, a graduate of Springford High School, Royersford, went on to graduate from Penn State with a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science. He then co-founded TeraSoft, a computer consulting firm.

Friends would describe Steve as an all-around good guy. He enjoyed exceptional food, complemented with good wine. Traveling was one of his pleasures, especially to warm places like Hawaii and the Caribbean. He enjoyed biking, kayaking, and snorkeling. He volunteered as a Member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 21 since 1986, and served on the board of the Western Montgomery County Career and Technology Center. A passionate photographer, Steve was an officer and board member of the Berks Photographic Society.

Left to treasure Steve's memory are his wife, Terry; his brothers Rob Lackmeyer (Patti), FL, and Jeff Lackmeyer (Leigh), GA; his sister-in-law, Patt Janiszewski (widow of Carl), Douglassville; his niece, Krista; and his nephew, Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Steve's memory may be made to the Berks Photographic Society, GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Suite 326, 201 Washington Street, Reading PA 19601, or online at https://store.berksphotographic.org/shop/.
