Stephen Fecho

Stephen Fecho, 85, of Reading, died May 14, 2007 at 12:45 am in ManorCare Health Services, West Reading, where he had been a patient since February 16, 2007.

He was the husband of Pauline (Hancher) Fecho, whom he married November 24, 1945.

Born July 26, 1921 in Mahoney City, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Sabol) Fecho.

He was employed 33 years as a press operator and an air conditioner maintenance man with Dana Corporation, Reading, retiring in 1979.

Stephen was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He is also survived by three sons, Stephen P. husband of Michele V. (Melnick) Fecho of Reading; Robert A. Fecho of Athens, Georgia and Lawrence J. Fecho of Reading.

Other survivors include a brother, Andrew Sabol of Brooklyn, New York and two sisters, Anne (Sabol) Gladis of Mechanicsburg and Elizabeth (Sabol) Seale of Hamburg, New Jersey.

There are also seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale with Chaplain Carl D. Andrews officiating. Burial will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 301 South 5th Street, Reading, PA 19602.
