Stephan Michael Koharcheck, 68, passed away, unexpectedly, in the arms of his beloved wife, "Snuggs", Doris Koharcheck in his Wyomissing residence.
Stevie was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia A. (Eyrich) Koharcheck in August 2003.
Born in Shillington, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Helen (Snyder) Koharcheck.
He was a 1960 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.
He worked as a salesman for various companies in public relations. Steve was an accomplished drummer and singer known for playing in various local bands throughout the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. Some of the bands he played in include Kaszmere, Act II, Craig Fisher, Shotgun, Cambridge, and Almost Grown.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and coached Little League for Governor Mifflin.
Steve was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle, Shillington.
He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and larger than life personality.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Frank S., husband of Debra A. Koharcheck, Reading and his three grandchildren: Kody M. Koharcheck, Nikole A. Koharcheck and Kaitlyn M. Koharcheck. Also surviving are his step daughter, Michelle Lush, his step-son, T.J. Frederick and three step-grandchildren: Amber Auman, Brandi Lush and David Frederick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle, Kerrick and Mitti Rd., Shillington. A viewing will be Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
