Stella M. Tillman, 84 of Cumru Township passed on October 22, 2015 at the Reading Hospital surrounded by her loving family at her bed side.
She was the beloved wife of Charles H. Tillman who she shared 57 years of happiness.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Constantino) Sottasante.
Stella was employed for 10 years by Ludens as a production worker before retiring in 1959.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.
Stella was a caring mother and devoted wife. When her first child, Mary Jo was born she knew that dedicating herself to be the best wife and mother was going to be her priority in life. She always met relatives and friends with a big smile and hug. When you entered Stella's house, you were many times greeted by the aroma of her Italian breaded porkchops, eggplant and her delicious meatballs and sauce.
Her pride and joy, other than her husband, children and grandchildren was her love of planting many flowers during the spring months and decorating the house for every season. Stella will be sadly missed by family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Mary J. Thomas, Blandon; Patty, wife of Dr. William C. Annear, Pittsburgh; sister, Rose DiBenedetto, Reading; and grandchildren, Abigail C. Annear and W. Cameron Annear III, Pittsburgh. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brothers, James Sottasante and Anthony Sottasante.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary R.C. Church with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
