Stella R. Folmer

Stella R. (Rothermel) Folmer, 92, of 506 Centre Street, Hyde Park, died February 28th at 7:20 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township where she had been since January 3rd.

She was the wife of Wayne A. Folmer.

Born in Ontelaunee Township, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Deborah (Swavely) Rothermel.

She was a 1929 graduate of Ontelaunee Vocational High School.

Folmer worked as a Topper for the former Rosedale Knitting Mills for 20 years before retiring in 1952.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.

Folmer is also survived by a sister, Deborah (Rothermel) wife of Arthur Hill of Stony Creek and a half-sister, Blanche (Kantner) wife of Raymond Rothenberger of Alsace Township.

Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating. Viewing 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton. Contributions may be made to Alsace Lutheran Church 2201 Kutztown Road Laureldale, Pa 19605.
