Stella A. Lewandowski

Stella A. Lewandowski, 82, of Reading Boulevard, West Wyomissing, died Aug. 6 at 1:44 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Spring Township.

She was the wife of John C. Lewandowski.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Camillo and Mary (Maimone) DiPersio.

Lewandowski was employed by F.W. Woolworth Co., Stichter's Novelty Co. and Gotham Lingerie, all of Reading, and Schoener's Candies Inc., West Reading, until her retirement.

She was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School.

Lewandowski was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

She is also survived by two daughters, Rita M. (Lewandowski) Schreinert, Norristown, and Donna M. (Lewandowski) Bird, West Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a brother, John DiPersio, Shillington, and a sister, Anna (DiPersio) Fierro, Reading.

There are also five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
