Stanley L. Trout

Stanley L. Trout Sr., 88, died Jan. 27 at 11:25 p.m. in his residence at Emerson Avenue, Laureldale.

He was the husband of Edna M. (Fairchild) Trout.

Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Bessie (Seeders) Trout.

Trout was employed more than 50 years as a hosiery knitter by Howard Hosiery, Sinking Spring; Fashion Hosiery, Boyertown; and other knitting mills in the Reading and Boyertown areas. He was later employed by the Muhlenberg School District in the buildings and grounds department.

He is also survived by a daughter, Jeanne L. (Trout) Sandel, Laureldale, and two sons, Stanley L. Jr., Allentown, and Robert W., Temple.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services will be private. Burial will be private in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
