Stanley T. Kuczawa, 81, of the Woodland Plaza Apartments, State Hill Road, Wyomissing, formerly of Olive Street, West Reading, died Nov. 29 in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 15.
He was the husband of Elizabeth H. (Ratajczak) Kuczawa.
Born in Marianna, Washington County, he was a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Poper) Kuczawa.
Kuczawa had been employed for more than 24 years as a machine operator by Baldwin Hardware Manufacturing Corp., Reading, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.
Kuczawa was an Army veteran of World War II, and received the Purple Heart.
He is also survived by a son, Stanley A., Muhlenberg Township.
Other survivors include a sister, Mildred Kuczawa, Reading; and two brothers, Edward, Kenhorst, and Leonard, North Hollywood, Calif.
There are also three grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
