Stanley J. Conley, 83, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away July 1, 2013 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
He was the husband of Doris J. (Isles) Conley, whom he married 57 years ago.
Born in Sharon, PA he was a son of the late James and Hazel (Higgens) Conley.
Stanley was a 1948 graduate of Sharon High School and earned his Bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University.
He was the owner of Bun Patch Supply, Co., Temple, until his retirement in 1991.
Stanley was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg.
Stanley was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren and being at his home away from home in Naples, FL.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Suzanne, wife of Jeffrey M. Phillips, Muhlenberg Township, and their children: Alex and Marrisa; his daughter Linda Hein, South Heidelberg Township, and her children: Breanna, Nicole, Mitchell, Erica and Morgan and his daughter Judith D., wife of Michael A. Robidoux, Houston, TX and their children: Andrew, Aaron, Tyler and Jorden. Also surviving is his sister, Evelyn, wife of Robert Mercer, Goodyear, AZ.
Stanley was predeceased by his brother, James Conley.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4201 Stoudts Ferry Bridge Rd. Reading. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
