Sr. Theresa B. Kochan

Sister Theresa B. Kochan, 89, a member of the Order of Sisters for Christian Community, and formerly of Rittenhouse Sr. Living Center, passed away September 4, 2018, at Berkshire Center.

Born in Reading, she was one of 11 children, and the last surviving, of the late Peter and Anna (Korsulis) Kochanowski.

She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Sister Theresa is survived by two nieces: Bernadette, wife of Dr. Bruce Ilgen, Mohnton, and Mary Ann, wife of Gerald Keinard, Muhlenberg Twp.; and four nephews: Joseph, husband of Joanne Kurpiewski, Reading; Michael, husband of Sylvia Kurpiewski, Pittsburgh; Philip, widower of Cindy Kurpiewski, Hopatcong, NJ; and Christopher, husband of Bonnie Kurpiewski, Plymouth, MN.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 21, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's RCC, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
