Siegfried H. Herbert

Siegfried H. Herbert, 47, of Reading, formerly of Ruscombmanor Township, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2009 in the Emergency Room of the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Siegfried and Margot (Geller) Herbert.

He was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rockland Township and the Evergreen Country Club. He was a 1980 Graduate of Oley Valley High School and was a member of the Teutonia Lodge #367 F. & A.M., Reading.

He was the Owner of Ziggy Electrical and Maintenance, Ruscombmanor Township for many years and was lastly employed as an office assistant at Sovereign Bank, Reading.

He is survived by a Brother: Oswald Herbert of West Reading and 3 Sisters: Susanna Gift and Maria Butler, both of Reading and Irene Garipoli of Lititz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm in Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley. Friends may call on Friday from 11:30am - 1:00 pm. There is no viewing. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Amityville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ziggy's memory to the Mosaic House, 525 Franklin Street, Reading, Pa. 19602
