Shirley Marie Wilkins

Shirley Marie Mohler Wilkins (89) died of natural causes on May 9, 2023. Born in Spring Township in Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Eli G. Mohler and the late Ruth (Long) Mohler Thawley. Wilkins was employed at Weis Markets, Wyomissing, PA, for 31 years retiring July 4, 2009.

Wilkins had been employed as an Executive Secretary for the former Metropolitan Edison Company from 1953-1961. Wilkins was a 1951 graduate of the former Shillington High School and attended Reading Business Institute.

Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Wilkins-Diehr, wife of Dan Diehr (San Diego), Shari Wilkins-Duley, wife of Redding Duley (Denver, CO) and Wendy (Wilkins) Watson, wife of John Watson (San Diego).

Other survivors include a brother Richard, Wilshire (Sinking Spring) PA.

There are six grandchildren: Julius Diehr, Nicholas and Alex Watson, Ontario, Kylee and Aspen Duley.

A celebration of life breakfast will be held at the Francis Hall Atrium, Alvernia University from 10:30am -12:30pm on July 22 followed by an optional hike.
