Shirley A. Trabosh, 72 of Hamburg, died Monday, September 24th in The Reading Hospital & Medical Center. She was the wife of Richard P. Trabosh. Shirley was born in Hamburg and was the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Viola L. (Fry) Binner. She worked at various knitting mills most of her life as a sewing machine operator, retiring in 2007. Shirley was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg. She also belonged to the Hamburg Fish & Game Association and the Shoemakersville Fire Company. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters: Coleen(Hunsicker) wife of George Mycock III, Cecilton, MD., Lisa (Hunsicker) wife of David Pellegrino, Pensacola, FL., 1 stepson: Daniel Trabosh, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and 1 sister: Joan wife of Larry Thomas, Punxsutawney, PA. Shirley was also predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen L. (Hunsicker)Specht on February 3, 1987. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 28th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA. 19605.
