Shirley A. Simpson

Shirley A. Simpson, 77 of Wyomissing died Wednesday, July 3rd in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. She was born in Port Clinton and was the daughter of the late Helen I. (Koller) Heebner and the step daughter of the late Kenneth E. Heebner. Shirley worked at the former Fleetwood Multi-Video for 14 years as a secretary and last worked in customer service for Keystone Cable Company in Kutztown. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Fleetwood and a graduate of the Empire Beauty School. Shirley is survived by 5 children; Ann L. (Bretz) wife of Ronald Mayer, Fleetwood, Patti J. Bretz, Wyomissing, Glenda J. Simpson, Wyomissing, Richard K. husband of JoAnn Bretz, Sinking Spring and David A. husband of Nadine Bretz, Fleetwood. She is also survived by 3 grandsons; Michael and Sean Zettlemoyer and Jordan Bretz and granddaughter, Kelly Bretz and 3 great grandchildren. Shirley was predeceased by a sister Bonnie L. Schade who died June 1, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 7th at 2:00 PM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA. A visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Burial will be private.
