Shirley J. Shollenberger

Shirley J. Shollenberger, 82, of Hamburg, passed away on December 10, 2017 at the Berkshire Center, Reading.

Born in Upper Tulpehocken Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Riegel) Wagner. She was a 1953 graduate of Hamburg High School. She was employed as a teacher's aide for several years in the Hamburg Area School District. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and served on several committees there.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis I. Shollenberger on May 1, 2006. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Bradly S. husband of Cynthia Shollenberger of Birdsboro, Dr. Matthew A. Shollenberger of Wyomissing and one daughter, Alison Shollenberger of North Jersey. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Michael S. husband of Melissa Shollenberger, Lansdale, Michelle L. wife of Jesse Whitehouse, Oley, Catherine A. Shollenberger, Wyomissing and Joseph A. Shollenberger of Shippensburg and one brother, Melvin husband of Ruth Wagner, Reading.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 99 Church Street, Hamburg, with Pastor Mark Jensen officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
