Shirley Mae Meschick

Shirley Mae (Schriver) Meschick, 69, of 283 Old Orchard Drive, Pottstown and formerly of 523 Grill Avenue, Cumru Township, died March 23rd in the Pottstown Hospital, Montgomery County.

She was the widow of Francis J. Meschick who died January 9, 1992.

Born in Lonaconing, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late James C. and Mary (Wilson) Schriver.

Shirley worked as a packer for 20 years at R.M. Palmer, Wyomissing until her retirement in 1996.

She is survived by Robert Freese, with whom she resided.

Other survivors include a daughter, Jacquelyn R. (Burke) wife of Dennis B. Prescott of Cumru Township and a son, Michael J. husband of Kristi L. (Bailey) Meschick of Cumru Township.

Shirley is also survived by a sister, Virginia B. (Schriver) Hallman of Jacksonville, Florida, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 9:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, Pa 19605.
