Shirley B. Mayer

Shirley B. Mayer, 67, of West Wyomissing, died of natural causes at St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading, on April 28th at 4:40 a.m. She had been a patient there since April 24.

Her husband, Albert L. Mayer, died on February 12, 1988.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha E. (Schwoyer) Heffner.

She graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1957.

She worked in the Maintenance Department of Walmart Stores, Wyomissing, for over 10 years.

She is survived by two sons, Michael A. Mayer of Bethlehem and Christopher D. Mayer of Ephrata.

Other survivors include one sister Joyce (Heffner) Glass of Wyomissing.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
