Shirley L. (Lenz) Keller, 94, passed away on May 8, 2026, at Reading Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of Charles G. Keller. They married on June 25, 1955 and shared 70 years together.
Born in Ridley Park, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Constantine and Alice (Glenn) Lenz. Shirley graduated from Upper Darby High School, attended Pierce College in Philadelphia, worked as a secretary, and later worked as an administrator in the registration office of Penn State Berks Campus for almost 30 years.
Tennis was her passion! She started at a very young age and played well into her golden years, always striving for that perfect serve. For many years she served as a coordinator for the Sinking Spring YMCA Women’s Tennis League. She and Charlie were avid skiers and members of the Flying Dutchmen Ski Club, visiting many slopes in the States as well as Europe throughout the years. Family gatherings she cherished particularly during the holidays. The gardens around her home that she loved working in were stunning. Her dedication to fitness and a healthy lifestyle blessed her with a long and fulfilling life. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to Charles, Shirley’s memory will be cherished by her sons: Kristian Keller (Sheila), Mark Keller (Nancy), Michael Keller (Ann) and daughter-in-law Sandi Keller, she will also be missed by her (7) Grandchildren and (10) Great-Grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Eric Keller and her 4 Golden Retrievers; Brutus, Rebel, Rocky and Max.
