Shirley J. Weaver

Shirley Joyce Weaver, 79, formerly of Exeter Township died November 30, 2009 at ManorCare Health Service Center, Spring Township, where she had been a patient since March of 2008.

She was the wife of John Lester Weaver who died January 12, 1997.

Born June 11, 1930 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Howard E. Sr. and Ada (Hemminger) Hart.

Shirley was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School.

Along with her late husband, John, they owned and operated Weaver's Kountry Kitchen, Maidencreek Township for 7 1/2 years, before retiring in 1981.

Shirley was a member of Schwarzwald United Church of Christ, Jacksonwald.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy L., wife of Gary Vojtasek of Shillington and Lisa L., wife of Lester Yohn of Exeter Township.

Other survivors include two grandchildren: Megan Yohn of Exeter Township and Sarah Vojtasek of Shillington.

Shirley is also survived by a brother, Howard E. Hart, Jr. of Wernersville.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
