Shirley Ann Herbst

Shirley Ann Herbst, 84, of West Reading, passed away on June 12, 2025, at Reading Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Edward A. Herbst, Jr.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Mae A. Hunter.

A hard worker throughout her life, she worked for Arnold's Bookbindery, Reading, Jim Rau Dog Shows, West Reading, and Thousand Trails RV Resort, Lebanon.

Shirley enjoyed bowling, fishing, bingo, slot machines, and camping. She loved her family and cherished her time with them.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Alan Hoffert (Judith Ives), Cape Cod, MA, Keith Metz, Philadelphia, Todd (Kim) Metz, Bainbridge, PA, and Neal Metz, West Reading; and three grandchildren: Emily and Rory Hoffert, and Zach Metz.
