Shirley A. Hardinger

Shirley Ann (Delp) Hardinger, 75, of Laureldale died January 18, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the loving wife of Richard James Hardinger whom she married March 9, 1957.

Born March 7, 1936 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John Samuel and Eva Sarah (Stufflet) Delp.

Shirley was employed as a kitchen supervisor with Mr. Angus Steak House as well as Your Place.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

In addition to her husband, also surviving are four children: Julie A. (Hardinger), wife of Ian Gatheral of Taft, TX; Susan M. Hardinger of Wernersville; Richard A. "Rick", husband of Evelyn (Delfin) Hardinger of Manassas, VA and Mary A. (Hardinger), wife of Norbert W. Pohl of Mt. Penn.

Other survivors include two grandchildren, Holli Stoddart and Scott Sitler and seven great grandchildren.

Shirley was predeceased by five siblings: Kathryn Esterley, Jean Conrad, Bobby Delp, Leon Delp and Woodrow Delp.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 W. Neversink Road, Exeter Township.
