Shirley C. Defresco

Shirley Caroline (Rissmiller) DeFresco, 76, of Laureldale died of natural causes June 27th at 10:10 am in the Emergency Room at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband Russell DeFresco, died November 21, 1997.

Born January 17, 1930 in Reading she was a daughter of the late Harry F. and Millie M. (Nein) Rissmiller.

She was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School.

Shirley was employed a number of years as a cashier at Weis Markets, Muhlenberg Township, until her retirement in 1995.

She was predeceased by a brother, Donald F. Rissmiller, who died January 5, 2006 and a sister, Dorothy J. (Rissmiller) Harner, who died February 28, 1988.

Services will be Friday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. www.christfuneralhome.com
