Shirley A. Correll

Shirley A. Correll, 79 of Hamburg died July 22, 2014 in Manor Care, Laureldale. She was the widow of Ellis J. Correll who died May 22, 2001. Shirley was born in Hamburg and was the daughter of the late Warren E. and Anna V. (Schappell) Epting. She was a 1952 graduate of Hamburg High School. Shirley worked for 33 years in bookkeeping and as a teller for the former Hamburg Savings & Trust and Pennsylvania National Bank retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Shirley is survived by a daughter, Anne A. wife of Chris Schlear, Zieglersville, a son, John W. Correll, Hamburg, 3 grandchildren, Emily wife of Eric Britton, and Christopher and Benjamin Schlear. She is also survived by a brother, Ronald W. husband of Shirley Epting, Hamburg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg, PA.
