Pastor Shirley M. Breiner, 75, West Brunswick Twp., Schuylkill county died March 28th in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center after being admitted the previous Wednesday. She was the wife of Charles J. Breiner. She was born in East Brunswick Township and was the daughter of the late Jonathon and Sarah (Peiffer) Teter. Shirley was pastor and a member of St. John's Church, Port Clinton for 13 years where she also taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies Aide Society. She had been a receptionist and pastor at the Orwigsburg Center and was a secretary for over 40 years for Sylray Underwear Co., Orwigsburg. She graduated from Tamaqua High School in 1952. Shirley was a member of the Orwigsburg Chapter 424 Order of Eastern Star where she currently was the secretary and was a two time past Matron. She was amember of the Schuylkill Valley Past Matrons, the OES Secretaries Association and the Ladies Auxiliary Scottish Rite, Reading. Shirley was very active in local fund raising events. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Larry N. husband of Christine Breiner, West Brunswick Township; a daughter, Linda N. wife of Daryl Potts, West Brunswick Township; a sister, Delores Stump, Schuylkill Haven; a half-sister, Ellen Lengel, Pine Grove; 2 brothers, George and Guy Teter both of New Ringgold; 2 granddaughters, Christina M. Breiner and Shellie M. Leibensperger. She was predeceased by a grandson Kevin N. Breiner in 1982 and a sister, Grace Bitzer. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from Emmanuel EC Church, Drehersville. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 8:30 to 11:00 AM. Eastern Star services will be held at 10:45 AM. Burial will be in Drehersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Church, Port Clinton, PA 19549. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. Hamburg, PA is in charge of arrangements.
