Shirley A. Gehret

Shirley Ann Gehret, 77, formerly of Reading died March 6, 2010 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

Born May 15, 1932 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Jesse I. and Beulah (Gilbert) Mengel.

Shirley is survived by four children: Gary L. Gehret of Reinholds; Leslie A. (Gehret), wife of James C. Stolz of Reinholds, Lynndel (Gehret), wife of Kevin E. Evans of Glenolden, Delaware County and Beverly L. (Gehret), wife of Daniel C. Hirneisen of Reading.

Other survivors include five grandchildren, Shannon L. (Gehret), wife of Chris Coy, Craig A., husband of Amanda M. (Werner) Hirneisen, Casey M. Stolz, Callie J. Evans and Kady L. Evans and four great grandchildren, Dylan J., Ashton M. and Grayson P. Coy and Madyson G. Hirneisen.

Shirley was predeceased by a sister, Ardell Wagner and a brother James Mengel.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
