Sharon L. Weidner

Sharon L. (Schappell) Weidner, 71, of Wernersville, passed away, September 19, 2024, at the Reading Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Terry L. Weidner. They were married on May 1, 1976.

Born in Hamburg, she was a daughter of the late Mylan and Joyce (Yeager) Schappell.

She was a 1970 graduate of Hamburg High School.

Sharon worked as a cook at Conrad Weiser Middle School for 30 years retiring in 2018.

She was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Wernersville Campus.

Sharon took pleasure in crocheting and knitting, as well as cooking, reading, and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Amy L., wife of Brandon Boyer, Hamburg, and Lisa M., wife of Jason Schaeffer, Robesonia; one brother, Gery M., husband of AbbySue (DeMoise) Schappell, Hamburg; and four grandchildren: Emma and Harper Schaeffer, and Tyler and Codi Boyer.

Services will be Wednesday September, 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.
