Sharon L. Stoner

Sharon L. Stoner, 82, passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Luther Acres of Lititz.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Haines G. Stoner and Ruth M. (Murray) Stoner Rineer. Sharon graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1961 and went on to study at the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She was an RN for more than two decades at Reading Hospital, and was the Supervisor of Critical Care during her tenure. After retiring from Reading Hospital, she was the Eastern Regional Manager for I.V.A.C./Cardinal Health until 2007.

Sharon was a faithful member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Wyomissing, where she volunteered her time to many of their programs. She also served her community through her work with Meals on Wheels. Her favorite past time after retirement was babysitting three children: Jolee, Lila and Ben, who lovingly called her Aunt Sharon.

She is survived by her sister Jocelyn Kline of Lititz; her brother, F. Blaine Rineer and his wife Susan of Key West, and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, W. Scott Stoner, sister-in-law Phyllis Stoner, brother-in-law Jack W. Kline, and nephew, Dennis W. Kline.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8 at 10:30 am at Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd, Reading, PA, 19610. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:00 am until the start of the service. Burial will follow in the Centerville Cemetery in Lancaster.
