Sharon May Wertz

Sharon May Wertz, 72, of Reading, passed away on July 22, 2025, at Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Stowe) Wertz.

Sharon was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her son was staying at home to raise him.

She had a passion for music, a taste for thrilling horror films, and a love for shopping. High heels were her footwear of choice, and she often found herself trying her luck at the casinos.

Sharon is survived by her son, Michael A. Wertz, two brothers, Denny Wertz and Robert Wertz; three grandchildren: Adalena Wertz, Sabrina Wertz and Mercades Wertz; and one great-grandson, Damon Anderson. She is also survived by two beloved pets, Cookie and Sunshine.

She was predeceased by three siblings: Bonnie Dalessio, Susie Baum, and Ricky Wertz.
