Sharon Lynn Kershner of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania joined her beloved savior Jesus Christ on November 1, 2024, at the age of 62. She spent her last weeks at home surrounded by her family who cherished her for the kindness and love she shared with those around her.
Sharon was the daughter of Robert and Evelyn Ruth. She graduated from Pennridge High School and later Messiah College after which she became an accountant.
She was married to her husband, Daryl Kershner, for nearly 38 years at the time of her passing. Together they had two sons as well as four grandchildren. Sharon adored her family and was unfailing in her love for them.
Sharon's deepest passions were her faith in Christ and her love of family and children. She modeled her faith in all walks of life, and would tirelessly sacrifice of herself for the good of others. She reflected the love of Christ in all things, and inspired these same values in her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband: Daryl; her children, Timothy (and wife Sarah) and Jonathan (and wife Lily); her grandchildren, Stephen, Isaac, Michael, and David; her father, Robert; her stepmother, Dorothy; her brothers, Brian and Kevin; her mother-in-law, Joyce; her brother-in-law, Craig; her sister-in-law, Jennifer; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins among other loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at Friedens United Church of Christ at 337 Main St. in Oley, Pennsylvania on Friday November 8th at 11:30 a.m., and all are welcome to attend. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to charities that share Sharon's passion for life and children: Life's Choices at https://www.friendsoflc.org/, or the education center she co-founded, Kardia Learning Center at https://kardialearningcenter.org/
Sharon was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and grandmother, a loving daughter and sister, and a dear friend to many. Her legacy will endure through the lives of those she has touched. Sharon now walks with her savior Jesus in perfect peace and rest.
