Sharon Elaine Kerns

Sharon E. (Hock) Kerns, 70, of Shillington, passed away on October 25, 2024, in the care of Reading Hospital. She was the widow of Kenneth R. Kerns, who passed away September 9, 1994.

Born in Reading to the late Leo W. and Hettie E. (Royles) Hock, Sharon graduated from Central Catholic in 1972. A member of the Central Catholic Marching Band, Sharon was a talented twirler skilled enough to twirl with fire.

In addition, she is predeceased by her sister, Nancy L. Rosselli and brother-in-law, John Rosselli Sr.

She worked at OB Dyers for 19 years, and later worked for Reading High School in food service for 4 years before retiring.

Sharon loved making people laugh, and her tremendous sense of humor leaves a legacy of delight and amusement. She was a member of the the former Hampden Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. As the family historian, she treasured her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved spending time with family, and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. In her memory, all are welcome to wear purple, her favorite color.

Sharon is survived by her nieces and nephews: Laura L. Feick and Chris; John and Lisa Rosselli Jr.; Lisa and Charles Johnson; and Thomas and Amy Rosselli Sr.; her 13 grand nieces and nephews; her 12 great grand nieces and nephews; and by many cousins, extended family and countless friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading PA 19611. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., and service at 11:00 a.m. with committal to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
