Sharon Lynn Barry

Sharon Lynn Barry, known affectionately by many as simply "Mother", 77, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her Reading residence on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Windle) Marciniak. Sharon and her daughter Marsha owned and operated Shades of Green Tavern in Gibraltar for the past 24 years. Prior to this, they were the proprietors of Morey's Coach House Restaurant in Reading. In her spare time, Sharon loved to tend the rose bushes in her garden and soak up the sun on her porch. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed rollerskating. She will be greatly missed not only by her family but by the community that calls Shades of Green their home away from home.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Marsha, wife of Robert Rhoads; her son, Joel Barry, husband of Cindy Eachus, all of Birdsboro; grandchildren: Jennifer Pichl, Derrek Rhoads, husband of Brittany, and Lauralyn Rhoads,; and one great granddaughter, Raegan Rhoads. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank Regenfuse.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at 12:00 noon in Laureldale Cemetery, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA, 19605.

A Celebration of Life honoring Mother's memory will be held at Shades of Green on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
