Serena Virginia (Noznesky) Morrissey passed away November 10th at Kendal Crosslands in Kennett Square, PA with her children by her side.
Serena was born on July 18, 1936 in Media, PA to Harry J Noznesky and Serena V (Graul) Noznesky. She and her brothers Peter and Philip were raised in the Philadelphia area. She graduated from Eden Hall School for Girls and later from Drexel Institute of Technology with a degree in Business Administration.
After college, she worked at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and also at Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. Art was a source of great joy to Serena as was traveling, playing bridge, listening to Stevie Nicks and Bob Dylan, and spending summers in Stone Harbor, NJ. She was devoted to her family who will miss her dearly. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her style, generosity, and sense of humor.
Serena is survived by her children Serena "Missy" Morrissey, Meg (Malcolm) Heinicke, John Morrissey, and her grandchildren Charlotte, Alex, and Greta Heinicke. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Susan Morrissey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road in Laureldale, PA. Interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan Morrissey Foundation, which supports high school students in realizing their dreams of higher education.
