Serafina Todaro

Serafina Todaro, 79, of Wyomissing, died February 29, 2008 in Spruce Manor, where she had been since February 15.

Her husband, Giovanni Todaro, died in August of 1955.

Born in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Messina, Sicily, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Cerniglia.

She was a hand sewer for H. Oritsky, Reading for 20 years retiring in 1995.

Mrs. Todaro was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Survivors include her daughter, Giovanna, wife of Mario Stanizzi, with whom she resided; three grandchildren, Antonio, Giuseppe and Gianfranco; and her sister, Francesca Spinnato, Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. She was predeceased by three brothers, Antonio, Ignatzio and Biagio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 237 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
