Segundo Gerardo Mesias Moya Mullo

Segundo Gerardo Mesias Moya Mullo, 84, of Reading, passed away in the evening hours of Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was the loving husband of Maria Eugenia Angos de Moya, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in Quito, Ecuador, Segundo was the last born child of the late Jose Amable Moya and Rosa Amelia Mullo. He worked for many years as a machine operator assisting in the pasteurization of milk, and, later in life, he worked as a professional driver for public transportation companies, specializing in buses.

Segundo was a man of God who lived for his family. He was a good man, a humble man, who was very caring and a true example of how a gentleman should be. He treasured his children and especially his grandchildren. At times grumpy, he still had a sense of humor and enjoyed dancing. A hard worker and a good cook, his influence will be missed by all who knew him.

His memory will be forever treasured by his wife, Maria, his children: Fausto Moya (Amparo de Moya) of Ecuador; Gloria Moya (Mario Vargas) of Ecuador; Gerardo Moya of Reading; and Janneth Moya (Wilfredo Rivera) of Reading; his 15 grandchildren; his 25 great grandchildren; his great great grandchild; and all his beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Raul Moya, who passed in 2012.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 322 S 5th St, Reading, PA 19602, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19695. A viewing will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the Kuhn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, 5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple PA 19560.
