Sebastiana Sweitzer

Sebastiana "Ann" Sweitzer, 94, formerly of Reading, died September 23, 2016, in St. Joseph's Hospital.

Her husband, John T. Sweitzer, died September 14, 2007.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Luigina (Foresta) Micali.

Ann was initially employed by Berkshire Knitting Mills before becoming co-owner, with her husband, of Sweitzer's Grocery, Reading for 25 years, subsequently she was a clerk for Vanity Fair until her retirement.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Family, including her extended family in Buffalo, and friends were most important to Ann. She enjoyed going to shows and dinner; she especially enjoyed her two trips to Italy.

Ann is survived by her son, Dr. Thomas K., husband of Carmen L. Sweitzer, Reading; two step-children, Patricia DeAngelo, Temple, and John T. Sweitzer, Jr., Harker Heights, TX. Her niece Luigina, wife of Steve Becker and their children Chris and Jackie also survive her. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Micali,

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, with burial to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in Edward J.
