Scott J. Schmehl

Scott J. Schmehl, 62, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away unexpectedly in his home on November 22, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Reading to the late Clarence E. Schmehl Jr. and Carole (Zellers) Schmehl, He attended Muhlenberg High School and later obtained his GED. Scott was most recently working with Ashley Furniture as a certified forklift operator. Prior to that, he drove dump trucks for Takeout Inc, repaired forklifts for Lift Inc., and was a maintenance mechanic at Fleetwood Snacks.

Scott will be remembered as a hardworking man who liked to help others. He was a skilled driver and mechanic who enjoyed listening to music and playing video games.

He is survived and deeply missed by his wife of 38 years, Janet Schmehl.

In addition to his parents, Scott was predeceased by his brother, Randy Schmehl.

A committal service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
