Scott W. Ray

Scott W. Ray, 47, of Spring Township, died September 21, 2010 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Brenda L. (Rothermel) Ray, to whom he married on November 3, 1990.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Gerald D. and Marallise R. (Smith) Ray, Wyomissing.

He was a 1981 graduate of Wilson High School.

Scott was a systems engineer for Air Products, Trexlertown, last working Monday. Previously, he worked for GPU as a supervisor in the computer data center for 20 years.

He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter and bowler.

Scott was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He also was a member of the: Sinking Spring, Gouglersville, West Reading and Berkshire Heights Fire Companies.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his son, Gerald S., a senior at Wilson High School; two step-children, Charissa L. Kirlin, and Matthew D. Glass, both of Reading; his step-granddaughter, Savannah G. Kirlin; his sister, Joella A. Ray, West Lawn; his nephew, Mason and his niece, Alexa.
