Scott H. Heffner

Scott Hamilton Heffner, 83, formerly of 1269 Lititz Pike, Lancaster died at 5:05 pm on November 20th at 478 Rebers Bridge Road, Lower Heidelberg Township.

He was married June 1, 1946 to Marian Anna (Angermann) Heffner.

Born in Pottstown, Pa., he was a son of the late William R. and Pearl Daisy (Bickel) Heffner.

He is a 1938 graduate of Germantown High School.

Heffner attended Temple University and was a 1945 graduate of University of Pennsylvania, where he received his Doctorate in Veterinarian Medicine.

He was a member of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Lancaster.

Heffner was an Army Veteran.

He was the owner/operator of Dr. Scott Heffner Veterinarian Clinic, Lancaster for 35 years before retiring in 1985.

Heffner also worked as a Beekeeper in Lancaster County for 20 years until 1999.

He wrote a book in 1970, "Investors guide to the Stock Market".

Heffner was the head genealogist for Heffner Associates of Shartelsville for 20 years, last working earlier this year.

He is also survived by four sons, David C. of Hampton, Virginia, Scott J. of Oxford, Maine, William R., with whom he resided and Robert J. of Summerset, N.J.

Heffner's other survivors include a sister, Jean Anne (Heffner) Roberts of Willow Grove, Montgomery County and twelve grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday November 29th at 11:00 am in St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, 929 North Duke Street, Lancaster, Pa 17602. No public viewing. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church at the above address, Crispus Attucks Center, 407 Howard Avenue, Lancaster, Pa 17601 or to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Drive, Harrisburg, Pa 17110.
