Scott W. Bestwick, president and chief executive officer of a Muhlenberg Township business, died of natural causes June 9 in a hotel in Chicago, while on a business trip.
Bestwick, 39, of Spring Township, was employed by Tray-Pak Corp., Muhlenberg Township, for 13 years, last working Wednesday.
He served as the company's executive vice president and chief financial officer since 2000 and was named president and chief executive officer in 2002.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., he was a son of David M. and Rosemary E. (Walker) Bestwick, Wyomissing.
Bestwick was a 1983 graduate of Wilson High School, West Lawn, and a 1989 graduate of Albright College. He also attended the University of Richmond in Virginia.
He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.
Bestwick was a director of the Berks County Manufacturers Association.
Bestwick, the fiance of Alicia Mack, Kingston, Luzerne County, is also survived by two sons, Charles H., and Quentin T., and three daughters: Emily F., Mary Catherine and Elizabeth R. Bestwick, all at home.
Other survivors include a brother, Robert D., Princeton, N.J.; and two sisters, Catherine A. (Bestwick) Ciatto, Wyomissing, and Nancy L. (Bestwick) Tietbohl, Colony Park.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be private in the Atonement Columbarium, Wyomissing. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
