Sarah V. Davis

Sarah V. Davis, 84 of Hamburg died in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township on June 15th, 2014. She was born in Tilden Township and was the daughter of the late Lester F. and Myrtle V. (Fink) Epting. Sarah was a 1947 graduate of Hamburg High School and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg and a former member of the Rainbow Club. Sarah was employed by the former Pennsylvania National Bank, now M & T Bank in Hamburg for many years retiring in 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Gail J. (Davis) wife of Henry Aulenbach, Fleetwood, 2 grandsons, Chad and Eddie Blackston, a brother Allen husband of Lela (Brown) Epting, Tilden Township, 2 sisters, Carol (Epting) wife of James Gerner, JR., Hamburg and Anna (Epting) widow of George Christ, Windsor Township. She was predeceased by a grandson, David Rogers, JR., and 3 brothers, Vernon, Clair and Wayne Epting. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Church and Pine Streets, Hamburg, PA. 19526.
