Sarah C. Lubbeke

Sarah C. (Lehr) Lubbeke, 97, formerly of 231 Olive Street, West Reading, died March 14th at 5:45 p.m. in Mifflin Health Care Center, Cumru Township where she had been since October 1997.

She was the widow of Ernest H. Lubbeke who died September 26, 1965.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Edgar A. and Clara (Kalbach) Lehr.

She worked as an operator for 15 years at Bell Telephone, Reading until her retirement.

Lubbeke was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

She is survived by a son, Ernest G. husband of Maryjane H. (Coyle) Lubbeke of West Reading.

Lubbeke is also survived by a granddaughter, Lynne A. (Lubbeke) wife of Christopher Burns of West Reading.

She is also survived by two step-grandsons, Scott A. Young of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County and Michael A. Young of Philadelphia.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
