Sarah Lombardo

Sarah A. Lombardo (nee McIntosh) of Pottstown, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, February 5th, 2021 after a brief illness at the age of 93.

Sarah was born March 10, 1927 and was the youngest child of the late John McIntosh and Delia (nee Morley). Sarah is predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Robert, John, and one sister, Catherine. Sarah married the late Anthony L. Lombardo, Sr in 1956, and is survived by three sons, Daniel A. (Dianne) of Allentown, John M. (Loretta) of Gilbertsville and A. Lawrence, Jr (Lynne) of Royersford; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Sarah was born in Easton, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Easton Catholic High School. She worked at the Bell Telephone Company as a Regional Training Supervisor. Throughout her life, she continually challenged herself to stay active and loved spending time with friends. Sarah's lifelong involvement in her community included her participation in the Pottsgrove PTA, and later in life, a reader at St. Aloysius Church. She stayed physically fit walking each day and was an avid tennis player. She enjoyed spending time with her tennis group, and also played bridge with friends where you could always hear her laughter fill the room. Sarah loved to travel and visited many exotic places like Alaska, Finland, and Panama. Her favorite trip was to Scotland where Sarah traced her family roots. She also enjoyed the simplicity and serenity at the Rocking Horse Ranch Resort in Highland, New York. She spent many summers in Ocean City, New Jersey which will always be considered her second home. When she wasn't traveling, Sarah loved gardening and not only spent time tending to her flower beds, but also took time to smell the roses throughout her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 11am in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A viewing and Celebration of Life for Sarah will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30am in Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, Inc., 726 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Private interment will take place in Easton, Pennsylvania. Due to the Pandemic, a repast will not be held. Please, practice social distancing and continue to wear a mask.
