Sarah E. Dries

Sarah E. Dries, 81 of Hamburg died December 9, 2017. Her husband, Adam D. Dries, predeceased her. She was born in Reading and was the daughter of John and Sarah E. (Gromis) Baker. She was employed at various knitting mills throughout the area last working at Valley Forge Flag in Robesonia as a sewing machine operator retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Blandon Lioness Club.          Sarah is survived by three sons, Neven J., husband of Aleece Dries, Hamburg; David A., husband of Donna Dries, Port Carbon; and Jeffrey, husband of Diane Dries; Hamburg. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great- grandchildren, one great - great grandchild and six sisters: Dorothy Nitardo, Gloria Goodrich, Joyce Fryzol, Virginia Shollenberger, Mary Snyder,  and Ellen Franco. In addition to her husband, Sarah was predeceased by one daughter, Shelly Marie Doucette in 1990 and one granddaughter, Mandy Mae Dries Steinfurth in 2015.          Memorial contributions may be made to the Office of Development, Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point, Tampa, Florida, 33607          Services are private and at the convenience of the family The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.          Online condolences may be expressed at www.burkeydriscoll.com.
