Sara H. "Sally" Stambaugh, 67, of Shillington, died February 26, 2012 in ManorCare Laureldale.
She was the loving wife of Barry R. Stambaugh. They would have been married for 49 years on April 27, 1963.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Helen E. (Schucker) Templin.
She was a 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School.
Sally was employed as the principal's secretary for Reading High School for 22 years, retiring in 2001.
She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle, R.C. Church, Shillington.
Sally was a member of Junior Catholic Women's Club, the Turtle Club and was a past secretary of A.F.S.M.E.
She enjoyed bingo, craft shows and trips to the beach and casinos. She loved going to her children and grandchildren's sporting events and activities.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons: Steven B., husband of Christine Stambaugh and their two children: Brynn and Marley, Muhlenberg Twp.; Michael R., husband of Rochelle R., and their three children: Jada, Hanna, and Lexi, West Lawn; two daughters: Diane M., wife of Thomas A. Gawne Sr. and their two children: Thomas A. Jr. and David, Red Lion; Deborah L. Kessler and her three children: Beau, True, Colton and step-daughter, Tori, Wyomissing and a sister, Margaret A., wife of Theodore H. Smith, Wyomissing. Her great-grandchild, Luka, also survives her.
Services will be Thursday at noon in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
