Sara B. "Lovey" Miner, 66, died November 16, 2009 in her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was the wife of Joel W. Miner, Sr.
Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth Pavlick and Joseph Beck.
She was a graduate of St. Eleanor's Elementary School, Collegeville; Bishop Kendrick High School, Norristown and Hahnemann Hospital School of Radiology. She was employed by Hahnemann Hospital where she worked as an x-ray technician, last working in 1968.
Sara loved fishing and trips to Atlantic City.
In addition to her loving husband of 41 years, she is survived by her three sons: Joel W., Jr., husband of Marguerite A., Pottstown; Aron S., husband of Colleen, Wyomissing and Adam S., husband of Amanda, Haymarket, VA; her sister, Mary Jane Shrader, Cincinnati, OH; her two brothers: Alvin Beck, Philadelphia and Solomon Beck, NJ. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Julia Miner, Delia Miner, Abigail Miner, Alexander Miner and Timothy Nyman. One great-grandchild, Konnor Nyman, also survives her.
Services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament R.C.C., 610 Pine St., Bally. Burial will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, Valley Forge. Friends may pay their condolences on Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer www.curepc.org or to the Berks Animal Rescue League www.berksarl.org.
