Sara Franckowiak Michalowski, 81, of Wheatland Avenue, Shillington, died Dec. 9 at 1:15 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient one day.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Teddy Franckowiak, on June 30, 1963, and by her second husband, Victor Michalowski, on Jan. 12, 2000.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Lucia (Caltabiano) Correnti.
Michalowski was employed for 45 years as a waitress by the Shillington Restaurant, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.
Surviving are two sons, Richard J. and Franklin S. Franckowiak, both of Reading; and a daughter, Joyce A. (Franckowiak) Thompson, West Lawn.
Other survivors include three sisters: Mary (Correnti) Cirulli, Atlanta; and Josephine (Correnti) Shuman and Verna (Correnti) Hinkle, both of Shillington.
There is also a granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
