Sara M. Wixon

Sara May (Ott) Wixon, 93, of Riverview Park, died September 22, 2009, in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township, where she had been a resident since September 12th.

She was the wife of Paul Robert Wixon, whom she married October 17, 1936.

Born in Doylestown, PA on June 22, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Irvin J. and Mabel E. (Roberts) Ott.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.

Sara is also survived by two sons: Larry P., husband of Hope (Phillips) Wixon of Strasburg, Lancaster County and Lee D. Sr., husband of Sandra L. (Bibbus) Wixon of Riverview Park.

Other survivors include five grandchildren: Lee D., Jr., Jodi L., Allen B., Alicia and Wesley A. and five great-grandchildren.

There is also a daughter-in-law surviving, Rebecca (Landis) Wixon-Stoyer of Shillington.

Sara was predeceased by a son, LaMarr R. Wixon, who died January 21, 1991, and a grandson, Bryan M. Wixon, who died February 18, 1987.

She was also predeceased by one sister and six brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale with the Rev. Mark E. Brophy officiating. Viewings will be held Friday 6:30 to 8:00 PM and Saturday 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial will be private in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
